Practice Supplies:
Here's a short list of things to bring to practice:
Dress for the weather:
Hats / Gloves / Pants if its cold
Shorts / Short sleeve shirts if its warm
Soccer cleats
These are not required at this age but definitely help reduce slipping.
If you buy cleats, a few suggestions:
Don't spend to much
Make sure you buy soccer cleats not football/baseball cleats.
Look at the images below, for the soccer cleats, the sole of the shoe does not wrap over the front of the toe. This is important for ball control. The baseball cleat has a huge toe and the kids will learn to "toe" the ball which is not good practice.
Shin Guards
Shin guards are required by LMVSC for all games and practices.
I recommend small shin guards that don't get in the way (see below).
Remember, shin guards protect against bruises which are minor / temporary injuries. They do not protect against broken ankles!
Water bottle (with water!)
Soccer ball, size 3.

Soccer Cleats
These are great cleats and for under $20 that's all you need.
Shin Guards:
I like this style of shin guard. It is not very bulky and without the ankle strap it is very comfortable. For youth these are great. For toddlers, their calfs may be to small to hold them up so try them on. Make sure they are the correct size for the shin.
These are also good. My son has something similar:
I wore this style as a kid and hated them. The ankle strap really hurt my foot and I eventually cut it off.
